As a college town, Ames has been a
short-term home to many thousands of students who came here to live
while earning a degree. Hear remarkable stories of some of our more
recent temporary residents from the ISU Alumni Association's Carole
Gieseke and Jim Heemstra. They traveled to all 50 states to interview
and photograph Iowa State graduates for a special publication and
exhibit called "Visions Across America." A display of 20 of Jim's
extraordinary photographs will accompany the presentation. 2015 Lecture Series sponsored in part by Olde Main Brewing Company.
This is the final lecture in the Ames Historical Society's Annual Lecture Series. Location of the Ames City Auditorium is 520 Sixth Street, Ames, Iowa.
